I don’t know about you, but I need structure in my life to stay sane. One of the biggest challenges I think many are facing right now, other than financial pressure, is the loss of structure. We are so used to our routine of going to work or school. As much as we may fight against these things, routines and structures offer support in our lives. We need to do everything we can to support ourselves right now.
The first couple of weeks or quarantine just felt like we were waiting to go back to our normal routine. Now, it’s clear a new routine is in order. Even if this only lasts a few more weeks. Structure can help you feel more in control of your life again.
Go back to the basics.
Set a bedtime and wake up time – even if your appointments and responsibilities are fluctuating or you can’t leave the house. Having a steady sleep schedule helps create a sense of normalcy in our lives. Continue waking up and going to bed at a decent time.
Set mealtimes. This can help with overeating. I keep hearing people say they are eating more out of boredom. Setting a mealtime can help you stay out of the kitchen in between.
Make a list of your goals.
If you’re still working, you may still be working from a set of goals each day. If you’re not working, schedule time to work on other things that you’d like to accomplish. Are there projects you’ve wanted to focus on but never had the time? Now’s the perfect time! Make a list of your projects and goals you’d like to accomplish during this time.
Map out your day.
Break your projects into daily/weekly goals. Make a list of goals you want to accomplish during this time. Make a list of what you want to accomplish each day or week. My daily routine planner can help you organize your time and your day.
Create routines for the kids.
I’m working from home and my 12-year-old daughter is attending home school. We both have our designated work time. Plus, she has time to connect with friends and watch her favorite shows while I am working. At 4pm, screens are turned off and we go for a walk or work on a project together, next is dinner & clean up then we spend more family time, watch something together and then start our bedtime routine.
Build in time for positivity.
If you are experiencing more worry than usual right now, plug into positive messages and/or meditations on Youtube. Search for whatever you are struggling with, for example, how to cope with fear, how to trust everything will be okay, how to have more self-discipline, sleep meditations, etc. While you’re there, Check out and subscribe to my channel.
I know this is a tricky time but building some structure back into your day may help you feel more in control, get more accomplished and keep you focused on something you can control which is your time and where you put your focus.
What are the biggest challenges for you and your business right now? I’m working on some new content and would love to focus my topics on things that can benefit you during this time.
Do you know the #1 thing highly successful people have in common? The answer is – a morning routine! A great morning routine can set you up for a successful, productive day.
Mindset is so very important for all of us, particularly entrepreneurs. I would say about 85% of being a successful entrepreneur has to do with creating and maintaining a positive mindset.
Having a strong morning routine is one of the most direct ways to cultivate and maintain a positive mindset. The thoughts you think each morning set the tone for your entire day.
My mindset practice consists of 5 things:
I like to start my morning routine with movement because it helps me wake up and brings me into my body. I begin with simple stretches then, light strengthening with weights then I walk around the block.
Affirmations & Vision
Next, I read my affirmations and vision aloud. You can download my affirmation toolkit here to get a list of affirmations plus learn how to design your own.
To create your vision, write out what you want each area of your life to look like and read it aloud each morning.
Spend 10 min focused on your vision. See your vision in your mind’s eye. Play it out just like it’s happening currently in your life.
For example, if you want a steady flow of clients, imagine your phone ringing off the hook. Imagine your pipeline being constantly filled with the exact number of clients you’d like each week/month.
Spend at least 5 minutes reading something positive and/or motivational. Be sure to feed your mind positivity every day! After all, you are what you think.
Spend at least 10 minutes writing out your goals and gratitudes for the day. Make a list of what you’d like to accomplish as well as three things you’re grateful for.
This is what I do. Feel free to design a routine that works for you. The important thing is that you create one! It’s amazing how your life can shift when you commit to your routine for at least 30 days!

If there is one thing you commit to doing to help grow your business, it would be to commit to producing regular content.
1. Shows people ways they can work with you: Often times, people aren’t even aware of your services or area of expertise. They may know you have your own business but don’t necessarily understand what you do. When you post messages about specific topics, people get a clear idea of what you do and why they may need your services.
2. Position yourself as an expert: When you start educating your audience, they start perceiving you as an expert in your field. When they come across someone who is struggling with something you’ve written about, they will refer this person to you and/or your article.
3. You learn and grow: The more topics you research, outline and discuss with your audience, the more knowledgeable you become. Plus it helps you speak more professionally about topics once you’ve organized your ideas around them.
4. Repurposing: There are sooo many ways to use the content you create. Once you organize your ideas and create a blog post, you can share on social media, with your newsletter list and your website.
You can also create videos, offer free gifts on your web page, create ebooks, share in publications, create workbooks for your clients, and so much more!
Creating rich content is one of the best things you can do to grow your business!
Want to learn a simple formula for how to create and share free content that ends with more calls in your calendar without having to chase down leads. Call me today for a free discovery call!
Do you struggle with shiny object syndrome? Your attention bounces from one thing to the next and you have a difficult time staying focused on one thing long enough to bring it through to fruition?
Well, you are not alone! Don’t be hard on yourself. Nearly every person I work with struggles with the same phenomenon. It’s normal to have many interests. The trick is to learn how to manage this energy, so you can be more effective in your life and business. Organization and boundaries are key.
Here are some tools to help you stay focused on what is important to you.
Track your ideas. One thing that really helps me stay focused is to keep track of all of the new ideas coming in each day. Ideas usually come in when we are driving, showering or doing tasks that don’t require a lot of mental focus. As these ideas come to you, write them down, email them to yourself, or start a list of them on your phone.
Sort them into categories. I have a journal dedicated to blog post ideas, a separate journal dedicated to program ideas and outlines, a master to-do-list and a daily to-do-list. File your idea in the appropriate place so you can easily get back to it. Keep separate lists for home and business.
Prioritize your ideas. Which ideas are you most excited about? Put a star next to those. Move those to the top of the list. Which ideas will be the easiest to implement? Put arrows next to these. These are easy to grab and use when you need something to run with.
Boundaries. Now this is where the boundaries come in. Just because you’ve had this new amazing idea, doesn’t mean it’s time to run off and leave the ideas you’re currently working with behind. You can stay focused where you are then grab a new idea from the list once your current ideas are complete.
If your current ideas are no longer grabbing, then sit with this before running off to the next thing. Ideas can be like relationships, fun and exciting at first but become a little less exciting once you start working with them and see how much work is involved. But that doesn’t mean the idea isn’t a good one. The most rewarding ideas (and relationships) are the ones you stick with, devote yourself to and develop into something real.
Plus, what you learn about yourself through committing is priceless. It feels great to complete a project and bring your ideas into fruition. It builds confidence to go after and complete the next one. Over time, you develop a process of completion and learn you can trust yourself to stay focused and follow through.
Don’t allow yourself to be so distracted by new ideas. There are tons of ideas available to us in the collective conscious. Download them and keep track of them. Let the new ideas inform your path, but don’t let them steal your attention or draw you off course. The new ideas are meant to guide us, not distract us. Stay focused and keep working with what’s in front of you while continuing to incorporate the new.
If you have ideas you are struggling to implement, message me. I would love to support you in bringing your ideas into fruition.
Do you cringe when you hear the word sales? Do you think sales people are slimy? Do you dread talking about money with potential clients? If so, you are going to have a very difficult time selling your services and charging what you’re worth.
I used to HATE sales! I hated discussing money with people. I didn’t like anyone selling to me and I didn’t want to be that person. Luckily, I worked with a coach that helped me shift. Now, I LOVE sales! I find it very fun. I love helping people break through to say yes to what they need and teaching them what I know.
Here’s how to shift:
Switch Your Mindset from SELLING to SHARING.
You aren’t selling the person anything. You are helping them fulfill a need. They need help and you know how to help. Plain and simple. They will end up paying someone to get the help they need. Why not share yourself and make it you.
When you go into your discovery conversations, get into the mindset of sharing yourself, what you know and how you can help. Come from a place of service, not trying to close the sale. Be authentic with no attachment to the outcome. If the person is interested in what you’re saying and offering, they will ask how to work with you. Then you can explain your services and fees to them. When you are being yourself, people are much more interested in working with you anyway.
Start paying attention to your energy throughout your money conversations.
You may notice that it’s easy to be open and connect with your potential client when you’re discussing your services. But then get really nervous when you start discussing payment. Potential clients will notice this shift in your energy and the situation can turn awkward quickly and/or they may lose trust in you.
If this is happening to you, no worries.
The key to maintaining your energy throughout your money conversations is PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE.
Practice what you will say when someone asks how much you charge out loud to yourself. Practice until you don’t miss a beat when you throw out your price. Practice until it feel completely natural to you to discuss your pricing with people.
You have to be willing to discuss money with people. It helps to start doing it in your personal life. It amazes me how people act over money. They act like you are talking about sex, religion or politics. It’s MONEY! We all have it. We all need it. I believe we should start discussing money more freely in our culture. It’s no wonder people have so many money problems. People are so afraid of discussing money. I’m on a mission to change this.
Start practicing now. Show more courage when it comes to money conversations. Don’t shy away. Trust me, it gets easier with time.

Are you charging what you’re worth? Do you shrink when someone asks you how much you charge? When you work for yourself, all of your money stories and beliefs come into play. You may have made great money when you were working for someone else, but when the money comes straight through you, guess what? You’ve got to work through your money stories. Period. You can’t allow money to flow to you if you don’t feel worthy enough or you believe negative things about money and/or people that have money.
Grab your journal. Here’s a process I take my clients through:
Sit down and write out your beliefs about money. What are the stories you heard as a child about money? What did you learn from society about money? What did you come to believe to be true about money through your own experience? EX. Money is the root of all evil. Money is tight. We can’t afford that. You have to work hard to make good money. That price is outrageous! We can't pay that much for that. What are your money stories?
Challenge these beliefs. What’s funny about beliefs is that we seldom take the time to stop and challenge the beliefs (or programs) that run certain aspects of our lives. Do you still believe these statements? Did you EVER really believe them or were they just beliefs you inherited from your parents or society? It is important to start challenging these beliefs for yourself now.
Stop reciting these beliefs. STOP saying you can't afford something.STOP complaining about how much things cost. STOP limiting yourself around money. No matter what is true in your bank account, NEVER say these phrases out loud. Saying them only reinforces them. If you or your child wants something and you don't have the money, instead say "not today sweetie."
Next, write what you want to believe instead. What do you see to be true about money now? More importantly, what do you WANT to believe about money? Write some affirmations for yourself around money.
Use your money affirmations daily. Every time you spend money or notice yourself stuck in this old pattern, tell yourself one of your new messages about money. Start reprogramming your money story software.
I personally feel that lack has been programmed into society's code for quite some time and it simply is not true. The truth is that God/The Universe provides for each and every one of us. We live in an ABUNDANT Universe. Ask and you shall receive. Anything you desire is available to you. It's your lack of belief that holds it away from you. When you constrict around money, you cut yourself off from supply. Your supply comes from God/The Universe. Period. Stop resisting and let it in! You deserve everything your heart desires <3
It's time to upgrade our thinking around money as a society!
Here are some of my favorite affirmations around money.
You can download the list of affirmations I state out loud daily here. This worksheet also explains how to create your own affirmations and how to use your affirmations for greatest benefit.
If you know you need help in your business but keep talking yourself out of it because you think you can't afford it, click here to schedule a free 30 minute session with me.
I will help you see that you are worth it, God/The Universe will provide for you and you should TOTALLY trust yourself. I've seen it happen several times in my own life and for my clients. When you decide and say YES, the Universe sees that you are serious and lines up immediately to support you. When you create a vacuum, it is always filled.

So many of us struggle with our self-worth especially when it comes to starting a new business! It’s hard putting yourself out there when you don’t feel 100% sure of yourself. Plus, it can be scary getting your first clients. Every single person that I’ve worked with, including myself and my coaches, have all felt like a fraud in the beginning. Trust me, you are not alone in this.
But the truth is, you have to start somewhere. Think about how you felt on your first day of a new job. When you start a new job, you go into it knowing there will be a learning curve. You give yourself time and space to learn and make mistakes. But when it comes to working for yourself, you are much harder on yourself. You feel you have to have all of the answers, be perfect and have it all figured out before you can help others.
Cut yourself some slack. Trust that the right clients will show up to work with you. You will only attract people who need your specific help. This is how law of attraction works. Believe in yourself and give yourself space to learn. I know I feel embarrassed when I think back to some of my first nutrition clients. This is a normal part of the process. You have to be willing to put yourself out there in order to grow.
Something else that really helps is creating a solid plan or structure for your work. Often times when I ask clients what they plan to do when they get their first client, they’re not really sure. When you aren’t clear, it affects your ability to get clients.
However, when you know exactly what you’re going to do when you get your first client, you feel much more confident selling your work. One of the main ways I help my clients shift is I help them develop packages and programs that clearly defines their work, a program they feel really good about selling.
Answer the following questions to help you start designing your signature program.
Process to Outline Your Program: You’ll need your journal for this one.
Creating this clarity and content alone shifts your confidence level. When my clients are finished creating their program, they see the depth of what they know, feel confident in selling it and have an actual product to offer. Having a signature system is a game changer for sure!
If you would like help designing your signature program, click here to schedule a free 30 minute session with me. I will help you identify an offering that will boost your confidence and in turn increase your sales. I want to see you feeling more confident in your business so you can get out there and make a difference.
Do you feel like you keep putting yourself out there on social media but you aren’t gaining any traction? You feel that you are doing all of the right things but you aren’t getting any paid work? You keep giving your services away for cheap or free? Deep down you fear getting a client, you don’t feel good enough, feel overwhelmed and dread having the money conversation with potential clients (aka sales).
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you are not alone. Being an entrepreneur is one of the biggest self-improvement programs that I’ve ever been a part of. In order to create a successful business, you really have to come to terms with and shift some of your deep seated beliefs. This process may not be easy but it is oh so worth it!
These are the 3 most common blocks I see:
1. Self-Worth: So many of us struggle with our self-worth especially when starting a new business! It’s hard putting yourself out there when you don’t feel 100% sure of yourself. It can be scary getting your first client. Every single person that I’ve worked with, including myself and my coaches, have all felt like a fraud in the beginning. Trust me, you are not alone in this.
2. Money: Are you charging what you’re worth? Do you shrink when someone asks you how much you charge? When you work for yourself, all of your money stories and beliefs come into play. You may have made great money when you were working for someone else, but when the money comes straight through you, guess what? You’ve got to work through your money stories. Period. You can’t allow money to flow to you if you don’t feel worthy enough or you believe negative things about money and/or people that have money.
3. Sales: Do you cringe when you hear the word sales? Do you think sales people are slimy? Do you dread talking about money with potential clients? If so, you are going to have a very difficult time selling your services and charging what you’re worth. I used to HATE sales! I hated discussing money with people. I didn’t like anyone selling to me and I didn’t want to be that person. Luckily, I worked with a coach that helped me shift. Now, I LOVE sales! I find it very fun. I love helping people break through to say yes to what they need and teaching them what I know.
Over the next few days, I’m going to discuss each of these barriers in more detail so stay tuned!
What is your biggest challenge when it comes to putting yourself out there and making consistent sales?
You have a lot to offer! I want to see you getting your work out into the world <3
If you aren’t experiencing the success you’d like to see in your life, try visualization. Often, we think we have to struggle and work hard for success but when we get in the habit of spending 10-20 minutes per day tuning into ourselves and visualizing what we want, things start working out for us with ease. Opportunities present themselves that we couldn’t see before.
In order to attract what we want into our lives, it’s important to have a clear picture of what we want to do, be and have so we can create a clear vision in our mind. When we focus on this clear picture through visualization, our emotions shift. We start feeling the way we would if we were actually experiencing those things, which shifts our vibration. Our vibration in turn attracts the visions we are playing in our mind.
To visualize your success, start with the basics. Begin your visualization by focusing on yourself and how you want to feel. This helps you relax and expand what is possible for you in your mind.
Happiness. What makes you happy? Visualize yourself waking up happy, ready to engage with the day. See yourself maintaining your happiness no matter what is going on around you. See yourself handling situations with joy and ease. See yourself choosing happiness above any problem, doubt or concern that may come your way. Choose happiness over and over again throughout the day.
Next, focus on your connection to your Source, Higher Self, God. Connecting yourself with the Divine expands your awareness even more, opening you up to even more possibility.
Connection to God/Higher Self/Source. See yourself as whole. Visualize yourself connected to your Source. See your connection as a cord of light that connects you and grows stronger each day. See yourself tuned into your inner guidance, clearly receiving information about where to place your energy and focus. Imagine your trust in yourself and your guidance growing with each passing hour and day.
Then start focusing on the areas of your life that are important to you. Allow yourself to dream here. There is no limitation in your mind. Allow yourself to dream into other areas of your life. I’ve shared some examples below.
Perfect Health. Imagine your body working perfectly! Visualize yourself only attracted to healthy food. See your body healing from any ailment that is in your awareness. Visualize perfect vision. Your digestion system working at optimal function. Your kidneys, liver and heart being regenerated. Your respiratory system fully breathing in life. Imagine your nervous system, adrenals and thyroid being restored. Imagine a strong immune system that supports you in every way.
Healthy Relationships. Visualize yourself in happy exchange with others. You are being yourself and feel accepted and loved by others. Imagine your energy field healing and strengthening. You have amazing boundaries. You feel great in social situations. You feel so comfortable talking with others and they feel great around you. You make healthy connections everywhere you go. People love you!
Special Relationship. Imagine the male and female aspects of you living in harmony with one another. Imagine having a loving relationship with yourself and then see someone showing up outside of you who loves and cherishes you. Imagine all of the things you will do together and how you feel in this person’s presence. See both of you being happy, committed, truly appreciating each other. See yourself as worthy of receiving the deepest love of your life.
Finances. See yourself receiving a steady flow of money. Imagine you have zero debt. Your house, your cars, everything you own is paid for. You have plenty of money to travel, to buy what you want and need. Money flows to you effortlessly from multiple streams. You get paid for being yourself. Opportunities constantly present themselves for you to make plenty of money with ease, going at your own pace.
From this more expanded state, see if anything else comes to you. This is your dream and your vision. You get to create anything you want in your mind. There are no limitations. You don’t have to know how to attain it, so allow yourself to dream big!
The important thing is to see yourself being, doing or having whatever it is you desire. Allow yourself to feel more open and expansive which will open you to receiving. You will begin vibrating with what it is that you want. Your feelings and vibration is what creates your life.
Commit to visualizing in this way at least twice per day for 30 days and see what happens. Set your alarm 10 minutes early and visualize before you get out of bed and as you drift off to sleep.
It takes time and commitment to shift your current circumstances so don’t give up when your external reality doesn’t shift overnight. Shifting your thoughts and belief system is similar to changing your diet. You have to stick with it to see results. But if you remain persistent, you WILL SEE RESULTS. You will usually notice some change in the first few days. Give it a try and see for yourself.
I’ve recorded this visualization to help you get started. You can download this guided visualization here and use it as a starting point each day. This recording will help get you in the zone. I left the end of the recording open ended so you can add your own visions once you are in an expanded state.
PS. If you have a vision you are ready to create, message me. I would love to help you develop a clear path to success. Also, check out my Passion to Profit Program. I will help you turn your visions into reality.
Are you ready to make your business profitable in 2017? A solid structure could be what you’re business is missing. It can be tricky being your own boss. It takes lots of discipline and planning to make it all happen. If you want to be successful you need a strong foundation!
Let’s look at the energetics of your business. If you want to create a strong business, it’s important to have a strong foundation on which to stand on and a strong container in which to hold your clients. In order to have a strong foundation, you need structure.
Here are four ways to create more structure and balance in your business:
Set office hours. When you don’t have a boss, it can be easy to blow off time that you aren’t seeing clients. Whether you have clients or not or maybe you have another job, it’s VERY important to set hours and stick with them. When you don’t have clients, spend time creating content, brainstorming new programs & offerings, attracting new clients, etc. Think of your office hours as the container in which you work. This is time committed to your business. It’s very important to show up energetically in your business. When you do, you are sending a signal to the Universe that you are serious and that you have a container to hold more.
Organize Your Material. Create a journal, clip board or spreadsheet for each task. I have a journal that I keep all of my blog ideas in. I have a clipboard for to do lists. I have a master to do list and a weekly to do list. I have a notebook that I use to outline new programs and class offerings. I have a spreadsheet to track money. The goal is to organize all of your important tasks so that when you sit down to work, you can easily see what needs to be done. I like to make notes at the end of the day so I know where to pick up the following day.
Organize Your Time. This is the trickiest part for some. As a solopreneur, it feels as though there are endless tasks that need to be done. This is also why it’s so important to be organized. Review your office hours. Block out your time so you are only seeing clients on certain days of the week. This allows time for admin and content creation days. Plan out your admin days ahead of time. If you have certain projects you are working on, schedule time to make these things happen. Set a timer between tasks. Be sure to take breaks to keep your energy level up.
Create a rhythm. A rhythm is the glue that holds all of this together. A rhythm holds and supports you. If you create a strong rhythm, you CAN make all of these things happen. Print out the weekly planner that accompanies this article. Write in your office hours for each day. Which are client days? Which days are admin days? Remember, you are showing up to work regardless but this is for planning purposes. What needs to happen on those admin days? Divide up tasks by the hour. Be sure to schedule time for movement, dreaming and manifesting. These activities are also important. We must make time to receive and nurture ourselves. Being successful isn’t only about exerting energy.
I hope you find these tips helpful. I would love to work with you in 2017 to make your dreams a reality. I will help you get clear, create a detailed plan of action and hold you accountable for making it all happen! Click here to setup a free call with me to learn more. Happy New Year!
