If you aren't asking for help when you need it, then it's time to start. Anything I want to know, I ask the Universe. If I am stumped on a problem, any problem, or not sure what to do about something, I always tune in and get answers.
I do this with any problem, not just significant things. When I worked in IT, when I got stuck on computer problems, I would take a break and ask for help. I would ask to be shown the answer. I would ask what I was missing, then walk around for about 10 minutes and let go of it. When I came back, 9 times out of 10, I would always figure it out. Sometimes, the answer would come in a dream. I remember seeing computer code running through my mind when I was asleep and wake up with the solution.
I’ve learned to communicate with God, the Universe, our Higher Selves, Source, Consciousness – whatever you call the loving presence that surrounds us. We can learn to tap into this knowledge base on a daily/regular basis. God is always right there interacting with us when we ask.
We don’t have to have all of the answers. We just need to know how to look them up. It’s like Google. You can ask any question and get an answer. You just have to know how to tune in.
Here's my process:
1. Ask out loud for what you need. Instead of focusing on the problem or what I don't have, I shift it into a question. "What is needed in this situation?" "What are you trying to show me here?" "How can I get what is needed?" - money/time/support - whatever it is. "How can I process this more effectively/lovingly?"
I hear this a lot. .”I don’t have the money”. Instead of focusing on not having enough money, turn it into a question. “How can I get the money?” This is waaaay more empowering than believing you don’t have the resources you need.
It’s all about finding the right question to ask. If you don’t get an answer in a reasonable amount of time, try asking in a different way.
Sometimes, you just need to ask for help. Sometimes, you are trying to have too much control in your questions. If you feel stuck, ask “Please send me what is needed in this situation.” “Please help me deal with this.” “Please show me what the next step is.” These questions are more open ended and can bring different result.
2. Let Go. Once you have asked for help, clarity, guidance, answers, whatever it is that you need, then let go and listen. Just go about your business and pay attention to what comes in.
Answers may come in the form of ideas, opportunities, knowings, changes. Just be open to what comes to you next.
3. Listen. Listening is different than thinking. When you let go and listen, you listen to what comes into your mind with ease.
The answers are not the messages that come from a wrinkled up forehead. They are not the product of overthinking. They are the ideas that come floating in when you are mowing the grass or doing dishes. Those are the answers to take action on. Those are the ones that hold truth.
Learning to communicate in this way, helps you develop and strengthen your relationship with God/Source. When you ask and listen, you learn to interact with the Divine. You step into the unfoldment of your life.
We don’t have to control everything. We don’t have to have all of the answers. We just need to know get out of the way and learn to interact with the unfoldment that is happening in our lives.
The more we tune in, the more we live in harmony with changes occurring in our lives. We begin trusting God and realize that we are co-creators with this intelligence. We are not victims of circumstance. We have direct input. We have a loving friend that is right there waiting to help and guide us.
When we ask, we receive. So start asking and stop struggling!
I was talking with a client yesterday and it reminded me of myself a couple of years ago. This may be you too. Does this sound familiar?
You have great ideas - you aren’t sure how to implement them - you feel overwhelmed - so you do nothing – you remain stuck.
You have ideas about what to do. You watch free webinars and try to mimic what other people are doing. But it’s not consistent. You are still struggling to make ends meet. You feel stuck.
You know in your heart that you have a great service to offer the world. You believe it will “happen”. Yet you need it to happen now or you need to get a JOB.
Your TO DO list is so long that you get overwhelmed and can’t do any of it. You become immobilized. You let overwhelm stop you in your tracks.
I was the exact same way. When I first started my coaching business, I had tons of ideas. They all seemed like huge undertakings. I wasn’t sure where to start so I remained stuck. I kept trying to figure things out on my own. I saw what other people were doing. I listened to free webinars. I tried and tried but didn’t gain any real traction.
If things got difficult, if I had too much on my plate or I couldn’t see a clear path to where I was going, I would throw a switch, go into overwhelm and go into shut down mode. Not moving forward. I would tell myself it was too hard. I must not be ready. It must not be the right time.
When I hung out in overwhelm, it felt like someone had a hose hooked up to me and was sucking all of my life energy. I couldn’t see clearly. I was drained. I was immobilized.
Meanwhile, I needed to make money. And I needed a consistent income quickly!
I finally started working with a coach who helped me break my ideas into manageable tasks that were attainable. In the matter of weeks, I turned my ideas into money making programs! She showed me a formula for success. I went from spinning my wheels to making a consistent income doing EXACTLY what I wanted.
I created my business around who I am, what my values are and my own healing path. I now attract clients who need EXACTLY what I have to offer. The wisdom of the hawk. The other day I saw four black birds chasing a hawk, cawing at her the whole time. The black birds chased the hawk from tree to tree.
I am VERY fond of hawks so I continued watching this wondering how the hawk would get out of the situation. It was literally being ganged up on by these other birds.
The hawk tried to get away but the black birds kept chasing it. Eventually she started soaring. She kept soaring making wide circles, circling higher and higher.
The hawk used her strength and ability to soar plus she eventually raised her altitude to the point that the black birds could no longer keep up. They finally went away and there she was flying gracefully, high into the sky in all her beauty.
This reminded me that when we feel ganged up on by the people or circumstances around us that all we need to do is raise our vibration to one of peace and harmony so we can fly in peace in the expansive sky.
There's not need to struggle, just trust in your strength, follow what you know and rise to new heights. The higher you go, the more clear you become. People or circumstances vibrating at lower frequencies will lose heart and turn away.

Someone asked me today how I deal with fear and self-doubt. Doubt is fear so I will just refer to fear when I’m talking about it here.
First of all, fear is not an emotion that needs to be avoided. It’s also not an emotion that you need to give a lot of energy to. Fear is information. Period. Fear notifies you that you are moving into unknown territory. When you feel fear, acknowledge it!
So many of us go around avoiding fear. We will run to high heaven to avoid feeling fear. The problem here is that what we resist persists so the more you run from fear, the louder it gets.
When I feel fear, I sit down and acknowledge it. Don’t get me wrong, I still find myself avoiding it but now I may avoid it an hour or two verses days, weeks, months or even years that I used to spend running from it.
So when I notice my fear pattern. I go somewhere where I can be alone for 10-15 minutes. I close my eyes, visualize sitting down next to my fear and I ask “What are you afraid of?”
I let the fear tell me what it is afraid of. I give it a voice. Then I thank it. After all, fear is just trying to keep you safe. Fear’s job is to send you signals when it notices something out of the ordinary. So thank fear for doing it’s job.
Then, you are back in control. You get to decide where to go from here. I usually thank my fear and then explain to it that I am an adult now. I have things under control. I can be trusted and so on. Another words, I let the fear know that I appreciate it’s concern but I know what I’m doing. Or at least I can handle the situation.
Think of your fear as an overly concerned parent. We’ve all heard well intentioned advice about how to live our lives and how we better be careful. Do we listen to that advice? Not usually. We thank the person for their concern and then we move forward. This is the same concept that I apply when fear crops up in my life.
When you feel fear, get excited! This is a signal that you are expanding. Just assure that scared part of you that you see what’s happening and you have things under control. Sometimes you can do this once and it works, other times you may need to remind your fearful self several times within the hour.
The more you move forward and prove to your fear that you are in charge and that you can handle situations, the more you build trust within yourself and the less it will feel the need to notify you of every little shift.

No matter what is going on in your life, your mindset is the most important thing you can focus on to improve your situation. This is true whether you are talking about your physical health, your financial health, your relationships, your career – name it. Your mindset is the KEY!
You can transform any situation in your life by changing your mind.
For years I believed that I had to focus on the problem so I could “figure it out”. If I just understood “why” this was happening then I could change it.
I later realized that I was putting A LOT of energy and focus on the “problem” by doing that. To shift my situation, I simply had to focus on what I wanted instead – to start seeing myself well, secure, loved, etc.
You see, the mind will go out and find evidence to support any belief that you hold. That is your minds job. This keeps you safe.
For example, if you believe your job sucks then every day you go in, you will find evidence to support that your job sucks. “See, this company doesn’t even ______”. “See, my boss ________.” “Can you believe my co-workers??”
Do you see how our belief determines what we see? These are called our filters. Everyone sees the world through the filters of what they believe.
What if you decided that you were sick of feeling this way? So you either get a new job or a new attitude. You can change your job, just by changing your mind. TRY IT!
If instead, you went into work each day looking for evidence to support that you have a great job, you will notice totally different things in your environment. You start noticing that your boss isn’t a jerk, she is just stressed at home. Maybe her child is sick or she is struggling with her own problems. You see that you do have coworkers that have similar ideas as you. You see that the company offers some great incentives for _____.
This is just an example. You can apply this model to anything in your life.
If you are dealing with a physical illness, is it going to support you to focus on what’s wrong? “But I have to focus on it – how else will I get better” people say to me. While it is true that you have to do certain things to maintain balance in your body, it is not true that by focusing on what’s wrong is going to make you feel better.
Instead, start focusing on getting better. Start seeing yourself as whole. Start finding evidence to support that you are getting better. “See, I made progress today!”
When people ask us how we are doing, it’s tempting to tell them how we don’t feel well, etc. But what this does is give more energy to not feeling well. It feeds what we DO NOT want which is to feel bad. Instead, when people ask how you are doing, tell them “I am getting better every day!” Share with them the little victories you have noticed.
See how this simple shift in mindset leads you closer to where you want to be, which is WELL and HAPPY!
Try these tips for yourself! Don’t just read about them. Share them with others who may benefit. They WORK! You have much more power in your situation then you think. Decide to believe whatever it is that you want. Go out and find proof that it exists in your world. Of course, you can proof of the opposite. The truth is, you can find proof to support anything you want. Why not make it something good!

Clarity is the foundation for creating. If you aren’t clear, it’s very difficult to create anything. Anything that you want, anyway.
We create our lives through the thoughts we think, the beliefs we hold, through what we focus our actions upon. If we are focused on several different things or we aren’t sure exactly what we want, we remain stuck. We aren’t getting anywhere.
Here’s the Recipe to Create What You Want In Your Life and/or Your Business
1. Clarity - When you have a clear idea of what you want to create and attract into your life, the Universe will deliver. When you are tangled up in what’s not working, what’s happened in the past, and trying to “figure it out”. You remain stuck. Get clear on what you DO WANT. Sit down and write it all out.
Often times people are afraid to even say what they want because they can’t figure out a way to make it happen. Guess what? That’s not your job. Your job is to get clear. TIP: Tune into your heart for this clarity, your head does not have the answer.
2. Focus – Once you are clear, your job is to remain clear. Don’t allow yourself to be thrown off track by doubt.
Often times I see people get clear, they start focusing on what they want to create in their lives, it’s not happening fast enough so they lose heart and go back to thinking the way they did before they started.
I always tell my clients that changing your thinking is similar to changing your eating. When you start eating better, your body doesn’t shift overnight. It took time to get to where you are and it takes time to experience improvements. It’s the same thing with your thinking. When you shift your thinking, give it some time! You didn’t create your current reality overnight and it may take time to shift things around.
3. Action – Once you have a clear intent and you are focused on what you want, it is time to take action! You have to put yourself out there if you want to create a change. You aren’t going to change anything by doing the same things day in and day out. You will keep creating the same result. Allow your actions to be led by your heart. Again, your head does not know the answers. Your head is in the business of keeping you safe. Your heart knows the path you are capable of creating. Let your heart lead the way.

2. Seal Your Leaks - It's amazing how much money you can reclaim when you discover where your leaks are. It's hard to fill a cup that has a hole in it! Seal your leaks and you will attract and keep more money.
3. Shift Your Mindset - Instead of saying "I can't afford it" say "How can I afford it?" Feel the difference? This simple little tweak takes you from powerlessness to expansion.

Here's how my client Beth shifted her story.
When Beth and I started working together, she was in way over her head financially. She wanted to work with me but wasn't sure how she would get the money. I encouraged her to commit to the coaching process and that the money would show up.
Your commitment determines your outcomes. When you pay a down payment on a vacation, you will do whatever it takes to get there, right? It's the same thing when you commit to anything. When you commit yourself, you do whatever it takes to fulfill the commitment and the Universe/God/Spirit also supports your commitment. Commitments are very powerful!
She decided to trust in herself and the process.
We sat down and outlined her financial situation. We found where she was leaking money. We were able to recoup over $100 per month from this one process alone. That may not sound like a lot but when things are tight, $100 per month is a big deal. Especially, when you are trying to create some wiggle room.
We outlined a plan where she could shift some things around, sell unnecessary items, reduce other expenses and created even more wiggle room.
The more space we created in her finances, the more space she felt in her life in general. Money is just energy. I love working with money because it's a physical representation of how we are using our energy in other areas of our lives as well.
If money isn't flowing in your life, look to see how energy is flowing in other areas of your life? Is your energy stagnant in general? Is your energy closed off?
So the more we cleared away, the more we organized, the more we implemented systems that supported her financially, the more she felt empowered in her finances as well as in the rest of her life! Before, she had always relied on other people to manage her finances which left her feeling very dependent and vulnerable. Now she is taking charge.
Sometimes, your money struggles cover up other issues you don't want to see. If all of your focus is on struggling with money then you don't have to pay attention to your heart's desire. You don't have to step up and put yourself out there - or whatever it may be for you.
The more clarity we created in her finances, the more clarity she had in general.
She began clearing up other situations and relationships in her life. Taking charge of her finances opened up all sorts of doors for her.
She went from depending on others to creating a life for her self on her own terms.
Good thing she trusted herself enough to start the process! Otherwise, she would still be sitting there in the same situation day in and day out - wishing something would change - feeling powerless to change. I'm sorry but shifts like this are invaluable!
This is the power of clarity, taking action and shifting your belief.

The reason change is so scary is because we lose control. One way to ground yourself in change is to create order with the things that we can control. Get organized!
Walk around your house. What feels overwhelming to you? Do you have papers stacked up that need to be gone through? A stack of bills that need your attention? Do you need to go through your clothes? Swap closets? Organize your spare room?
I had three stacks of papers in my office that needed a home. I created file folders for all of my miscellaneous papers. This one simple process shifted me big time. I could suddenly see things I hadn’t seen before. I have more energy and focus for my work again. Cleaning and clearing can really help restore order in your mind which opens the door for clarity.
What needs to go? Like I said yesterday, Fall is the time of simplifying. What can you get rid of that will lighten your load? Clearing out what you no longer need creates more space in your life. Start thinking in terms of clearing away excess both in your environment and your life.
I am selling some items we’ve outgrown, taking others to goodwill and preparing for junk pickup. It feels great to create new space in my home. It’s amazing how these little things affect us emotionally too! Clearing space decreases any feeling of overwhelm for sure.
What can you organize in your life? Take a look at your daily rhythms. Can you make any changes that will free up more time and energy? What can you let go of or redefine? How can you organize your day so you feel more in alignment with who you are and what you really want to accomplish?
I sat down and outlined some projects that are important to me. I redefined my schedule to give me time to work on each thing I want to accomplish. Working on something for a short amount of time each day will eventually lead to completion!
Go back to the basics. Let the little things restore order in your world. What can you organize today?

We are going through some pretty intense times right now. Nearly everyone I know is going through some sort of major change. Change can be unsettling. Even positive changes are often scary. Even though we are asking for change in our lives, our tendency is to cling to what we know. Especially when so many things in your life are changing. It can feel like the rug is getting pulled out from under you.
Fall is the time of harvest but it’ also a time for stripping away the excess and simplifying our lives before going into the cold, darker cycle of winter. We will need more energy reserves to sustain ourselves in the winter. Winter is a more internal time. It’s a time for going within and reflecting. This internal time is necessary to bring forth the new burst of life in the spring.
Many of us already know this but it’s still easy to get caught up in the feelings of loss or fear when you see things in your life slipping away.
The key here is trust! Take a step back from what’s in front of your face and view the overall picture of your life. It’s hard to see clearly when you are holding something up to your nose. This is often the perspective from which we view our lives. When you feel like your world is falling apart, take a step back to gain a larger perspective.
What have you been asking for in your life? When you ask for something from your heart of hearts, the Universe (God, Spirit) will start working to bring this change into your life. But often, other things have to change first. You may not have room in your life for what you are asking for. You may not be able to get from there from here so you start experiencing a series of changes to direct you on your new path.
When this change starts happening, you freak out and think the worse. It is human nature to fear change. We asked for more in our lives, not less. But sometimes we have to let go of something in order for something new to emerge.
Here are three tips to help you ride the waves of change in your life:

I know how frustrating it can be to struggle for years with a health concern. You try this, you try that. You go see this person, maybe this new thing will help. You turn yourself inside out looking for answers but still nothing.
I have been working to heal my gut for over 15 years. Of course when I started there wasn't a lot of information out there on this topic. This was before anyone had even heard the word gluten or food sensitivity.
I had been chronically constipated ever since I could remember. In my early 20s I began working with a GI doctor and was soooo happy to find a product called Miralax, which is a daily laxative. It's over the counter now. It got things moving for me and I was happy. As time went on though, things started slowing down again and I started bloating after meals.
Every time I went back to the doctor, they upped my dosage and wanted to add on more and more medications. The doctors said I would be on this medication for the rest of my life. It was then that I started questioning. Why am I so constipated and bloated? How can I heal my body? The doctors didn't have the answers to these questions so I started my path into alternative healing.
I began trying different ways of eating, fasting, cleansing, juicing. I have eaten nearly every diet out there. Some helped for a short time and others made things worse. Some I just flat out wasn't able to maintain (like eating raw). I went from this healing modality to that one. I tried everything I could get my hands on.
It took me a long time but I finally found a way of eating where I feel great! My bowels are moving without any supplementation, I have so much more clarity and energy. I'm no longer bloated or swollen. I feel great in my body! And it’s an eating style that I can actual maintain! And I've been teaching it to my clients for years with outstanding results.
I've seen people drop 60+ pounds, get out of pain (fibro and arthritic), get off of meds, skin clearing up (eczema, psoriasis), gain mental clarity, recover from ADHD and so much more!
So what is this eating style? It’s the one I’ve been telling you about in my Energize program. It's eating REAL food. That's it! Many people ask me "What is real food?"
Real food consists of pastured, grass fed meat, veggies, fruit, nuts, seeds and eggs.
I teach people to eat close to the source. When you eat foods that are alive, they give you life. When you eat foods that are dead, you tend toward dis-ease. You see the more times someone touches your food before you get it, the more processed it is which means the more chemicals it contains. What kind of chemicals are needed to make a product good on the shelf for 2 years?
