I believe in emotional causes to physical ailments so when we work with your health, we look at your food choices but we also look at other factors in your life that may be at play. For example, when a person struggles with anxiety, the first place we start is with food and supplements but we also begin looking at how one can become more secure and grounded in their lives. What are the triggers, what's underneath and which new structures can be added to loosen the grip and begin a new story.
The level of our wellness is affected by the thoughts we think every day, the emotions we experience, the beliefs we buy into, the people we keep around us, and by choices we make on a daily basis. Our wellness is also affected by how connected we feel to others, by how much we tap into our creativity, the quality of our breath, how well we manage our energy, and so much more!
Wellness is a journey! It doesn't happen overnight. When it comes to our health (or anything else for that matter), we want immediate results. We want it now. People will try something for a week and they don't see immediate results or they "fall off the wagon" and get so discouraged that they give up all together. But the truth is the most important aspect of true wellness is your commitment. When we commit to aligning with health, we realize that there will be bends in the road and there will be struggle and it may take time to get where we are going or to find the right things that work for us but we just keep steering back onto the path and trust in the process and the learning that goes right along with it.
I've strayed several months to a year or two at a time from my wellness path. When I first heard of a gluten allergy, I was on an airplane traveling for work. It was a long flight and I had been talking to a girl next to me for the entire ride. At some point, I mentioned my struggle with constipation and all of the things I had gone through trying to get to the bottom of it. She said that her mom was just diagnosed with Celiac. When she said that word, I got a strong hit in my gut. I went home and researched it and found out that if this were true, I would have to eliminate wheat/gluten all together. Back then, you couldn't buy gluten free food, not many people had even heard of it and there was no support available. So I ignored that information at the time and kept going. It wasn't until my daughter came along and began struggling with her gut that I knew it was time I made the stand and made the necessary changes in our diets. And that doesn't mean that we've done it perfectly every day since then. But if we find ourselves off course, we just start steering back. And each time you steer yourself back, your wellness path becomes easier and easier to find. And one day you find yourself feeling great, not because you did it perfectly but because you committed and carved out a new path for yourself.
When I work with people, I start where they are. I can work on whichever level you need the most help. Some people know they need to make a change but have no idea where to begin. I can help you create an action plan. Some people have the information they need and are not sure how to apply it. I can come to your house and SHOW you how to make recipes or offer delicious recipes within your framework. We can do whatever you feel you need to start taking action. Some people are eating healthy and are still not seeing the changes they want to see. We can dig deeper into other aspects of your life that may be standing in your way. I will help you work through your stuck areas so you get into the flow of your wellness journey and discover whatever it is your body is trying to teach you!

Eating 101 - Learn simple changes you can make to your eating habits to create enormous change. Learn how to eat to improve digestion, increase nutrient absorption, lose weight, decrease cravings, have more clarity and improve your energy! Detoxification - Learn simple changes you can make on a daily basis to eliminate toxins from your body and your environment. I can recommend detox supplement cleanses. Hands on - For those who like to learn hands on, I can come to your house or we can meet at a kitchen and we will cook together. We will discuss the types of foods you like ahead of time and then pick 3-4 recipes to make together. This option is great for people who want to get started but aren't sure how. Sometimes it's just easier if someone SHOWS YOU HOW. And, it's also a great way to try some delicious and nutritious recipes. I've found that when you have 4-5 days of delicious, nutritious, prepared food in your refrigerator to get started, you begin to experience the health benefits therefore, it will help you move more swiftly toward your goals. People don't realize the affects certain foods have on their bodies until they remove the foods completely. It's a big eye opener! Jenny has observed my struggle with food, digestive issues, fatigue, and muscle and joint pain brought on by fibromyalgia.
